Joe Rogan Says Stephen Miller Told Him at UFC Event UFO Files Will 'Come Out'
UFO whistleblower David Grusch relays a secondhand claim that Miller is being "physically blocked" from the files.

Joe Rogan says Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, told him at the UFC event at the White House that government material on UFOs is "going to come out."
Rogan described the exchange on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with David Grusch, the former Air Force intelligence officer who told Congress in 2023 that the government was hiding a program to recover crashed UFOs. Grusch went further than Rogan, saying Miller was running into resistance inside the government. Grusch attributed that claim to a lawmaker's podcast appearance, not to anything Miller told him directly.
"I met him very briefly at the UFC event at the White House and he told me that it's going to come out," Rogan said. "It was really quick... This is literally all we talked about... The UFO thing is going to come out."
Rogan said he answered, "Like, okay, when?" He did not say Miller gave a date.
David Grusch Says Stephen Miller Is Meeting Resistance
Grusch said he recently left his job as a staffer for Republican Representative Eric Burlison of Missouri. Just before Rogan brought up the UFC event, Grusch said Trump wants the material out but that his team needs to know what to ask for and "massage the deep state." He then cited Republican Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee, pointing to an appearance Burchett made on conservative commentator Benny Johnson's podcast.
"We just saw Tim Burchett on Benny Johnson's podcast talk about Stephen Miller called him and was like, Hey, I'm getting blocked, like physically blocked from access to a lot of this stuff," Grusch said.
That account is secondhand. It rests on Grusch's description of what Burchett said Miller told him. PolitiKool is not aware of any public White House statement that Miller has been blocked.
Grusch then praised Miller. "Stephen Miller is an alpha dog," he said. "He's a pitbull, and as a fellow alpha, I do appreciate his." Rogan went after Grusch's description of himself, not of Miller. "That's a silly thing to say," Rogan told him, adding that calling yourself a fellow alpha "opens yourself up to like tremendous amounts of ridicule."
Later in the conversation, Rogan asked whether Trump was meeting resistance. "Yes. And I don't know all the details, but clearly, clearly Miller has," Grusch replied.
What Donald Trump's UFO Order Has Released So Far
Grusch said Trump ordered the declassification of UAP material in February 2026, and that the government has since been releasing it in what he called "tranches."
Grusch said the most recent tranche included a 1952 recording from Project Blue Book. He said he and Burlison obtained that recording "before I left his office recently." "I know everybody's not happy with the tranches coming out with the low hanging fruit videos and recordings and stuff," Grusch said.
Grusch also told Rogan he had seen video of recovered non-human bodies, while saying he has no personal experience of the phenomenon. In a March 2024 historical review, the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office said it found no evidence that the government or private companies had ever reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology.
Congress Presses Contractors on UFO Records
Grusch said Burlison's office sent interrogatories, legal questions that require responses in affidavit form, over the summer to The MITRE Corporation, a not-for-profit that operates federally funded research and development centers for the government. He said Burlison's letters also led to the release of the formerly classified 1952 recording from MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
In the Senate, then-Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican Senator Mike Rounds introduced a UAP Disclosure Act in 2023, modeled on the JFK assassination records law. Grusch said the 2023 act "failed to get passed." The full bill did not become law, but a scaled-back version of its records provisions was enacted in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024.
What Happens Next
Grusch predicted that "before Trump, Trump's term ends that it's all going to come out." He said that if he were advising the White House, he would act "at least six months before the election." He also acknowledged that "the president can use this for political ends."
Rogan argued that "there shouldn't be a group of unelected bureaucrats and defense contractors that have access to this stuff and the general public doesn't." Whether the batches still to come go beyond what Grusch called "low hanging fruit" is an open question.
