Ilhan Omar’s Fraudster Connections, Six Unanswered Messages, And One Fed-Up Republican

Latest News DAILY WIRE POLITIKOOL · LATEST NEWS

Minnesota state Representative Kristin Robbins, a Republican who chairs a House committee probing fraud in state agencies, says Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has stonewalled efforts to learn what her office told people later charged in the Feeding Our Future scheme, a $250 million theft of federal child-nutrition money. Robbins told Daily Wire that federal court records contain six messages between Omar's staff and defendants, and that dozens of invitations to testify voluntarily went unanswered. A subpoena for the documents failed when the panel's three Democrats voted against it. Omar's office did not respond to Daily Wire's request for comment, and she has not been charged in the case.

Robbins has found no proof that Omar knowingly took part. She points to Omar's pandemic-era bill loosening rules for such programs, her campaign events at Safari Restaurant, whose owner a federal jury convicted, and a business registered in Minnesota by Omar's sister, Sahra Noor, who reportedly works from Kenya. The committee has found no direct payments tying Noor to defendants.

Separately, Robbins described whistleblowers fearing retaliation. Faye Bernstein was put on leave and later reassigned, while Scott Stillman left Minnesota over safety worries.
