Trump foe threatens to reveal president’s phone number if doxxed

Latest News THE INDEPENDENT POLITIKOOL · LATEST NEWS

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina, who is leaving the Senate and promoting a new book, hinted on ABC's The View that he could expose President Donald Trump's phone number if the president ever did to him what he did to a Senate colleague. The remark followed Trump's publication of the personal cell number of Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton on Truth Social, part of an effort to push Cotton toward backing the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make daylight saving time permanent and passed the House in July, according to The Independent.

Asked by co-host Sunny Hostin about private texts reproduced in his book, Tillis said he and Trump had communicated several times since the president claimed to have forced him out of the Senate. When co-host Anna Navarro joked that Trump might now hand out Tillis's number, Tillis answered, deadpan, that he has the president's number too. Tillis, who clashed with Trump over the "Big, Beautiful Bill" last year, still called the president a great political force.

Trump argued that Cotton alone was blocking the measure and said the PGA Tour needs more afternoon daylight.
