Fox News Co-Host Jessica Tarlov Hits Back at Donald Trump's 'Loser' Jab
Jessica Tarlov, a Fox News host, says it is the president's third swipe at her in a week, and she points to CNN's Scott Jennings to counter his complaint.

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov answered President Donald Trump after he named her at a Monday Nebraska rally and called her "another loser." She said it was his third attack on her in a week.
Tarlov is the target of the attack and a party to this story. She made her case on Raging Moderates, the podcast she co-hosts with Scott Galloway. Trump's broader complaint was that networks should stop putting Democrats on the air.
"Why is this man not busier?" Tarlov said. "Like every time, and this is his third time in a week, that he has said something about me."
What Donald Trump Said at the Nebraska Rally
Trump spoke on Monday in Grand Island, Nebraska. According to a Rev transcript of the rally, he said:
"Why are they putting these people on our television networks? Why? They always have to put Jessica Tarlov, another loser. They put, they put, no, they put these voices on. I think it's really bad. I think there's no reason to do it. It's not better entertainment. You know, they say they like to project both sides, but the other side doesn't project both sides. They never have any of us on television. So I think they should stop doing it."
At the same rally, he said an Iranian strike on Los Angeles or San Diego would be "a very small price to pay" in the war.
Jessica Tarlov's 'Third Time in a Week' Claim
The public record shows a pattern:
- Last week: On Truth Social, Trump asked, "Why does FoxNews always put Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Jessica Tarlov, and every Democrat on, saying bad things about the Republican Party and, of course, me?" Poynter reported.
- Recently: Trump wrote, "We don't like stupid Jessica Tarlov, and all of the others, that are forced down MAGA'S throats," The Daily Beast reported.
- Monday: At the Grand Island rally, Trump said, "They always have to put Jessica Tarlov, another loser."
These attacks did not start this month. In a July Truth Social post, Trump called her "a real loser," The Daily Beast reported.
Tarlov said the president is angry about the makeup of her panel. "He's so angry that I sit on a show where it's one versus four. And it's not as if I hog other people's talk time," she said. "The thinnest of skin, so pathetic."
Scott Galloway Calls Trump 'President Ick'
Galloway's reaction was openly personal and is his opinion. He said Trump was not going after "Anderson Cooper" or "Jake Tapper," and he compared the attacks to "when grandpa kisses his granddaughter a little too long. It is so weird and so uncomfortable."
"This guy literally is gonna go down as president ick," Galloway said. He told Tarlov that "you're living rent free in his head means you're absolutely doing something right."
Abdul El-Sayed's Fox News Interviews
Tarlov said Trump was griping more about Abdul El-Sayed than about her. El-Sayed is the Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan, and Martha MacCallum interviewed him on Monday.
In a Tuesday post, Trump called that a "softball interview" and said Fox had "totally lost their way," Mediaite reported. The MacCallum interview was not El-Sayed's first time on the network. In August he sparred with Jesse Watters on Jesse Watters Primetime, where he asked the host whether he was circumcised, KATV reported.
Tarlov said "Abdul was cool as a cucumber" with MacCallum and "comes off looking like a guy who can do the job." She called the idea "that a democratic candidate for Senate shouldn't be interviewed on Fox News" a "poor reflection on what's going on in Donald Trump's mangled brain."
The race is close. El-Sayed leads Republican Mike Rogers by 2.9 points in PolitiKool's polling average.
Do Conservatives Appear on Other Networks?
Trump said that "they never have any of us on television." Tarlov pointed to CNN. "Scott Jennings sits on Abby Phillip's show every night, and there's usually a second conservative on there as well," she said.
Jennings appears regularly on CNN's NewsNight with Abby Phillip. Adweek has reported that his takes stir debate and earn him regular appearances.
Galloway asked whether Republicans make the same trip: "Abdul's going behind enemy lines. Is Ken Paxton going on CNN?" Paxton trails Democrat James Talarico by 3.6 points in the Texas Senate race, according to PolitiKool's polling average.
"No, he's barely going on Fox," Tarlov said.
What Comes Next
Trump went to Grand Island to campaign in Nebraska's Senate race. Republican Senator Pete Ricketts leads independent Dan Osborn by 0.1 points in PolitiKool's polling average. On Tuesday Trump turned his complaints about Fox from Tarlov to MacCallum, and his attacks on the network show no sign of stopping.
